Reasons For CloudLinux

The ability to create a Tenant Isolation with your own Resource Limits was our prime reason to choose CloudLinux. Looking to create the most unique hosting environment for our current customers and future customers CloudLinux fits our thoughts perfect. VPS type (Dedicated CPU/Ram usage) hosting on a shared provider. It gets no better to assure fast server response for your site. We used to accept that servers will go down during heavy resource spikes and you deal with it by being responsive. CloudLinux does it better by isolating and controlling resource spikes to prevent entire servers going down. That means less down time and faster server response for your website.

  • Tenant Isolation – All tenants on the server are isolated from each other so if one goes down everyone else is still safe and stable.
  • Resource Limits – CloudLinux utilizes a kernel level technology to set resource limits per tenant. This ensures a tenant can use all the resources they have paid for.
  • Application Resource Limits – Set individual limits for your blog, applications, and your website so that a sudden spike to one will not take down the rest of your properties.

CloudLinux is designed to Outperform the standard OS

Standard OS
Multiple web sites per server
Any web site can drain resources for a variety of reasons
Single website can overload the server
No additional security or protection from hackers or scripts that drain resources for other tenants
Increases risk and lowers efficiency of servers
CloudLinux
Resource isloation via LVE Technology
LVE Technology prevents individual websites from using too many resources
LVE Technology provides better security and protects servers from issues that drain resources for other tenants
Single website cannot overload the server
Lowers risk, increases efficiency and improves server performance

The graph above shows how in a normal operating system one site can use all the resources of the server. As in case of traffic spikes due to the digg effect etc. As one looks to the right and sees the containers created by CloudLinux even if a site gets a huge spike of traffic it cannot go beyond the resources that have been allocated to it. As is the case in a VPS environment the sites are in containers that do not allow other sites to use any resources that do not allocated to them.. And with the ability to set resources per container G.C. Solutions is able to create a stronger more powerful container for your site as it grows.
